Spreader Specialties Gears Up for Dakotafest

BBI’s Denny McCauley is heading to Mitchell, South Dakota, joining Spreader Specialties for the 2013 IDEAg Dakotafest.

Dakotafest, scheduled for August 20-22, is the premier agricultural event in South Dakota.  Once again, more than 30,000 attendees will descend upon Schlaffman Farm outside of Mitchell.   More than 550 local, national, and global companies will come to Mitchell to connect with farmers and ranchers of the Northern Plains.  Exhibitors will represent the spectrum of companies supporting the farming industry, including equipment manufacturers, precision agriculture electronics firms, ag-based financial services companies, and consultants.

In addition to manufacturer exhibitions, Dakotafest features educational forums on a number of timely farming topics, as well as field and livestock demonstrations that will showcase the latest advancements in agribusiness.

For past shows, attendees come from every county in South Dakota, as well as significant numbers of farmers and ranchers representing key farming and ranching regions in Nebraska, Iowa, North Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana.

BBI’s Denny McCauley will be attending Dakotafest, teaming up with one of our key partners for the area, Mike Olson of Spreader Specialties.  From its home in Austin, Minnesota, Spreader Specialties works with farmers in the Dakotas, Minnesota, and northern Iowa, ensuring that farmers in these areas are equipped with the latest offerings in BBI spreaders, parts, service, and technology for precision farming capabilities.

For Dakotafest 2013, McCauley and Olson will showcase MagnaSpread, BBI’s industry leader in the precision application of fertilizer and lime. The MagnaSpread hydraulic series is available in a variety of models, including truck-mount and pull-type versions, as well as models based on single and double-axle frames. , The MagnaSpread line features the ISOBUS-compatible BBI Binary Manifold as standard equipment. The proprietary Binary Manifold connects with a variety of precision farming technology software systems from every manufacturer currently utilizing  the ISOBUS platform.

“BBI really appreciates this part of the country and the farmers that make up so much of the economic vitality of the Northern Plains region,” stated Lee Kilpatrick, Director of Sales and Marketing at BBI Spreaders. “This community is served with great care and expertise by Mike Olson and Spreader Specialties.  Mike and his team exemplify the very best elements of a great farm equipment dealer—superior product knowledge, the ability to get to know their customers to match our products with their needs, and a life-long commitment to customer service.  We are pleased to be joining Mike once again for Dakotafest, one of our favorite shows on the ag circuit.”
